XL-Bullies and Control Order Dogs: Please contact this field directly to find out if they are allowing dogs banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act to use their facility and under what circumstances. Many fields are unable to accommodate XL Bullies for a variety of reasons and those that do may need copies of your paperwork in advance so you must check before you book.
Fantastic fields my dogs love it here. Always recommend the fields to friends , my Lab loves the paddling pool in the summer .We are actually here now listening to the birds . Whilst the dogs are having fun
Without doubt, Fields One and Two top my list of favourite secure fields (and I have visited A LOT!). Field One includes a small area of woodland, as well as beautiful open meadow spaces. There are picnic benches throughout and so many opportunities to sniff and explore. I book weekly whenever possible. The space is quite hilly and muddy over the winter, but I’m happy to ignore this as our girl is soooo happy when here. Field Two includes loads of fantastic opportunities for running through tunnels and exploring agility equipment. We swear our dog is part mountain goat, so Field Two is her idea of heaven. She climbs, jumps from object to object, and explores the natural materials with complete joy.
The car park is shared for Fields One and Two with an entry code into each field that is changed regularly. If you have a highly reactive dog, you may need to give the person in the other field a minute or two to get out of the car and into their field to avoid any reactions. The owner has added extra fencing along the adjoining border to obscure the view between the fields. I must admit that when I first saw that the fields share a fence, I was worried sick due to our girl’s level of reactivity, but it’s actually been fine. The woodland in Field One and the agility equipment in Field Two are away from the car park, so the dogs tend to want to hang out in these areas where they can’t see the comings and goings from the next field. To be on the safe side, I do pop our girl on her lead when it’s time to head back to the car, just so she can’t rush the fence.
All in all, I can’t praise these fields enough. They are perfect for us, a space to watch our beautiful girl visibly relax and enjoy herself away from the many things that worry her. The owner, Jo, is really responsive to requests and enquiries too and she’s often at one or other of the fields, keeping them to an incredibly high standard.
