XL-Bullies and Control Order Dogs: Please contact this field directly to find out if they are allowing dogs banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act to use their facility and under what circumstances. Many fields are unable to accommodate XL Bullies for a variety of reasons and those that do may need copies of your paperwork in advance so you must check before you book.
Millside Dog Park is a large field with some agility equipment in it and beautiful views. Sometimes, horses are visible in nearby fields but they don’t directly neighbour the dog field. Parking is secure and people wait outside of the parking area for their turn. If you go later on a Sunday, the main gate to the site may be locked but you’ll find the code for that in your booking confirmation email. Our dog is extremely sound sensitive and something we have found is that there is sometimes a regular banging noise in the field – I haven’t been able to work out if it’s bird scarers or something on the road that bangs when larger vehicles drive over it. Most dogs probably wouldn’t notice the sound (my dog’s friend who comes with us is oblivious!), but my dog is worried by it, so we only use this field on rare occasions. If sound isn’t a worry, then this is a fantastic field all year round (just bring your wellies in the winter!).
Cancelled two bookings in December with over 24 hours notice, which according to their cancellation policy would be automatically refunded. No refund was forthcoming. My email sent in January requesting a refund was ignored. My numerous phone calls in January and February resulted in the refund being repeatedly promised but has never been received. Certainly won’t use the dog park again. Do not recommend.
