XL-Bullies and Control Order Dogs: Please contact this field directly to find out if they are allowing dogs banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act to use their facility and under what circumstances. Many fields are unable to accommodate XL Bullies for a variety of reasons and those that do may need copies of your paperwork in advance so you must check before you book.
This is a no-frills, basic facility. The field itself is rectangular, flat, featureless (no trees, bushes, equipment etc) and grassed. There is a swing bin situated against the top fenceline for disposing of poo bags, a single water bowl inside the field, 2 chairs for the humans and a fresh water tap in the car park area.
Whilst this basic level of facilities could be seen as a negative it has the advantage of providing clear uninterrupted space for long line users/training, clear visibility of your dog(s), accident/obstacle free space for them to tear around in and plenty of space for a game of football too!
The price reflects the facilities laid on as it is an economic £3 per 30 mins for up to 4 dogs. Pricing by the half hour or hour.
The site is clean.
The car park is ample.
You are asked to park along the road out of sight until your allotted time/the last person has left (there is a layby) to not cross paths with others.
It floods in winter and is barely usable. Great when dry.
There are horses in neighbouring field that are fully visible to the dogs.
Very low foot traffic so very few walkers/passersby.
Fencing is secure and high.
