About This Field

Field Owner Notes

South Wales’ first purpose-built secure Dog Adventure and Sensory Parks. Here at The Cwtch we offer a safe, stimulating and enriching environment for you and your dog to enjoy quality time together.

Our secure fields are situated in the heart of the Welsh countryside, surrounded by 29 acres of organic fields and woodland. We are conveniently located near the M4, just 1.6 miles from Cwmbran and 3.6 miles from Newport.

Our secure dog parks are perfect for exercising your dog in a safe and stimulating environment, without the worry of interference from other dogs and owners. Perhaps your dog lacks recall, or, you have a nervous or reactive dog, or you simply just want a space to exercise your dog off lead with peace of mind that they are in a safe, enclosed environment- our secure dog parks are the ideal solution for you! To put it simply, our secure dog parks are perfect for anyone who enjoys watching their dog be happy, fulfilled and free.

Our secure parks are available for private hire. You and your dog will have sole use of either our Dog Adventure Park or Dog Sensory Park. Both parks are completely secure and our coded gate systems, separate car parks and staggered time slots mean that you can have complete peace of mind, knowing you won’t be disturbed during your session. Both parks are surrounded by 6 foot fencing, with a further foot dug into the ground for extra safety.

Engaging field for dogs run by friendly, professional and caring hoomans

The Cwtch, situated just off a quiet wooded lane, is a fantastic “dog field” resource with a large open field incorporating agility activity apparatus etc, and a separate dog sensory field for scent-oriented dogs. The fields are individually bookable in 45-minute slots. The owners have also recently opened a “dog hotel” which puts to shame some “people hotels” I have stayed in.
The Cwtch is very much a family run affair; Cath and her team are all extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgable and obviously determined to provide the highest standard of fields possible.
I have used the main field with my own dogs, and also with my daughter’s dogs, on several occasions and cannot fault the facilities.

I have a dog who has fear reactivity towards other dogs. We use the adventure field once a week. You book for 45 minutes so must arrive on the hour and leave at quarter to the hour, this is perfect for us, all the times I’ve been and I have never encountered the dog before or after us. It is a family run business and everyone is lovely and friendly. The field is large enough to have a good run and play with the frisbee, it has lots of jumps/bridges/water feature but still good amount of free space and it is secure. There is another field, the sensory field, adjacent to the adventure field but the dogs cannot see one another. It is on the expensive end of the dog fields I have experience of but I feel it is worth it. My dog loves it there and I highly recommend.
