This is definitely the best field in Wiltshire and we have been to almost all of them. We use the coppice. It is a fully enclosed with at least 6ft fencing and has 100’s of Christmas trees. There is a woods bit, meadow with trees bit and plenty of flat large areas with no trees to throw a ball. The owner is lovely and really thoughtful to make sure it is the best for dogs. There is a smaller paddock with loads of agility stuff and there is covering between the two fields so the dogs can’t see each other. If your dog is reactive they may hear the dog in the other field but won’t be able to get close to them or see them. There is also a train track next to the coppice but my reactive dog actually loves watching or chasing the trains.. and there is only a couple in an hour.

Our Setter starts squealing with excitement as we enter the village of Wootton Rivers. They love the coppice, with all its trees, and I can get round a good part of it happily on my wheelchair, as long as the grounds not too soft. The air lock gates for you to drive the car into are really good, if a little tight reversing. It really is an excellent use of an old Christmas tree farm, the old stumps have been cut right down, and a few still dotted round in the more open area. They put massive baubles on them for Christmas which was a nice touch. A very friendly place, but the fields are well fenced with opaque coverings, so reactive dogs cant see through the fence to the other areas. Its right by the train track which some dogs like as they can chase the train. Theres a paddling pool, and big water bowls with a hose if needed by the entrance, and a few shelters with seating if it rains. All in all, I feel lucky to live so close to such a good dog park.
