Field Details
XL-Bullies and Control Order Dogs: Please contact this field directly to find out if they are allowing dogs banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act to use their facility and under what circumstances. Many fields are unable to accommodate XL Bullies for a variety of reasons and those that do may need copies of your paperwork in advance so you must check before you book.
About This Field
The Perfect Spot Secure Dog Field in Goxhill is a beautiful paddock with lots of enrichment, situated right near the north Lincolnshire with easy access to Grimsby and Hull (via the Humber Bridge).
Is The Perfect Spot Dog Field Secure?
Fencing
As you can see from the photos the fencing is well installed and maintained and is 1.8m all round. The ground level is free from a lot of vegetation so you have clear visibility of the bottom of the fence.
The aperture of the fence is 5cm x 10cm tall so suitable for even the smallest dogs.
Parking
Parking at this dog field is in an airlock area. This means you drive in and enclose yourself in a 1.8m pen prior to letting your dogs out of the car. Here they are safe until you access the field through a coded pedestrian gate. This means there are two layers of security.
Booking and Accessing The Perfect Spot Dog Field
Booking is via a secure website and sessions are 50 minutes with 10 minutes buffer between each session so you should not come into contact with any other users.
The maximum number of dogs permitted is 4.
Access is very straight forward and the field is well signposted from the road. Both the What3Words and Google pin will take you directly to the field.
There is no waiting area so if you are early it is recommended to pull up in the village for a few minutes in order not to cross over with another user.
What is the Perfect Spot Like?
This dog field is really lovely and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. The owner has a keen eye for detail and lives on site so you will find a spotless field (regular checks), lots of imaginative activities in the field, and a lovely shelter, well positioned so you can see out over the field.
Notes for Reactive Dog Owners:
- There is a public footpath on the other side of the property – it is completely obscured by a large mature hedge in summer but it may be possible to catch a glimpse of a footpath user in winter – none seen on our visit.
- This field is on a private equestrian smallholding and there is an access track that runs alongside the field. The only user you might see is the postman or a delivery driver but the fence is well set back from the track

Great place to take my rescue dog. Safe and secure, well looked after.
Idris loves the time he can have off the lead. The structures are well maintaned and there are plenty of bins and bags around the field to help you clear up.
Last time we went there was a sign reminding owners to clear up toys, especially those destroyed by their dog(s). Seems to be working as we or rather Idris did not find anything.
I use this as often as I can to give him some freedom and to do distance training.
