About This Field
Room to Zoom is a 1.5 acre secure dog field located a few minutes from Attleborough in Norfolk and just a few hundred metres from the A11 junction making it really accessible for anyone travelling too or from this popular dog-holiday destination.
What is Room to Zoom Dog Field Like?
Surrounded on all but one side by woodland or hedge, Room to Zoom Dog Field feels like you’ve got a piece of woodland to yourself.
At the time of our visit the field itself was just recovering from a very wet winter and it was holding up surprisingly well with good grass coverage – the field itself is really lovely and in a nice location. Because it is sheltered by the trees around, I think this would be a great option in the summer months when you might be looking to get some respite from the midday sun.
There is a shelter at the far end of the field with a picnic bench and some emergency dog poo bags if you forget your own but you need to bring your own water.
There were a few logs in one corner which provided some nice enrichment but the tyres scattered around had certainly seen better days. There was also a tyre swing – the tyre was damaged to the point where it definitely needs attention.
Is Room to Zoom Dog Field Secure?
The field felt secure and the owner has gone to some lengths to create a safe environment. The gate to the road is good and there were no gaps underneath – secured with a hefty padlock which you could also secure from the inside of the field.
The fencing is 1.8m (6ft) and has been bent over in an inwards angle. This is ordinarily done with a hinged fence but it works ok here and might make owners of very athletic dogs feel a little more secure. The fence also has chicken wire at the base and the fence itself has a very small aperture anyway – secure for small dogs.
Booking and Accessing Room to Zoom Dog Field
Booking is through a simple to use booking site with weekday and weekend rates that are very reasonable.
Sessions are one hour with 1 funn 15-minute buffer between sessions which is very reassuring.
The access from the road is very easy – you pull off the road onto a tarmac area before opening the gate and pulling into the secure area to release your dogs safely.
Notes for Reactive Dog Owners:
- 15 minute buffer between sessions
- In winter/spring/autumn, the road is visible from the field and there was a lot of foot traffic during our visit with dog walkers, cyclists and families walking past (you can avoid this by staying at the far end of the field
- There does appear to be some activity in the woods the other side of the fence (forest school or something maybe) which if you are worried about you might want to contact the owner prior to your visit. There was nothing going on at all during our visit
