The objective of the British Dog Fields Dog Field of the year Awards is to celebrate dog fields all around the country in all their various sizes and styles and to support those fields that are going the extra mile with their care and attention for both their human and canine customers.
We had no idea just how popular it would be but having launched the Oxfordshire round in the first week of July, we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response from the participating dog fields and the dog field users of the county.
Despite the huge amount of work involved to cover the entire UK, reaching every field and forest, glen and glade – we are making sure that every dog field user gets a chance to cast their vote for their favourite place to take their dogs.
We’re rolling out the competition across all the counties of the UK with a chance to win fabulous prizes for those individuals who cast their vote, and some practical and fun prizes for the fields that top the polls.
Is My Dog Field Eligible?
All enclosed or secure dog fields in the UK are included in the competition – this is a people’s vote!
There are a few exclusions including fields that open after the launch of the competition in that county – you will have to wait until next year! If you are not listed in your county voting form and think you should be, please do let us know by email here.
What Happens in December?
In December, each county’s winners will be put through to a national competition to decide the Best Dog Field in Britain. There will also be extra prizes awarded in various special categories – from Best Training Paddock to the ‘Acres and Acres’ large dog fields, and we will also be celebrating those field owners that are innovating in some distinct way.
The winners will be announced and prizes for each awarded.
