The idea for British Dog Field of the Year started, as most good ideas do, with a chat in a muddy field. One of our regulars mentioned she was still meeting people who’d never even heard of dog fields (we know—shocking). She figured a bit of friendly competition might help raise the profile locally.
She was absolutely right.
Since then, we’ve been running annual county-by-county voting rounds across the UK, spotlighting amazing fields and introducing thousands of dog owners to the joys of secure, private play space. And it’s worked: field owners are reporting more interest, more bookings, and new enquiries from professional users like trainers and walkers looking to book regular slots.
This Year, we’ve also added a bunch of extra categories to celebrate the weird, the wonderful, and the downright brilliant – from tiny hidden gems to wild agility setups to the most dog-mad humans running the show.

- We’ll be going full throttle to promote dog fields across the UK and Ireland
Last year, fields saw increased bookings, press coverage, and a load of new dog owners discovering secure play spaces for the first time. This year? We’re turning up the volume.
